            My name is Zoltán Szántó M.D.

I was Born on july 8th 1975., in Eger, Hungary.

I have completed primary school and high school in Eger, Hungary both of them with excellent rate. I acquired „C” type (oral and written) intermediate language exam in english during high school.

I’ve been admitted succesfully to the Medical University of Debrecen in 1993. I’ve been given special prize for making EKG analyser algorhytms, from the Department of Physiology in the second year. I worked as a second coordinator in the Dept. of Experimental Surgery for 2 years, and completed the general- and microsurgical courses. I completed the ambulance officer exam, and worked as an ambulance officer for more than 2 years. I graduated as a physician with „cum laude” rating in 1999.

I’ve been working continously at the Department of General-, Vascular- and Thoracic Surgery since october 1st 1999. in the Hetényi Géza County Hospital at Szolnok, Hungary.

I have started PhD program at the Semmelweis University of Budapest in 2002. My study’s aim is to compare the selective intestinal decontamination and systemic antibiotic prophylaxis in acute necrotising pancreatitis, and the outcome in morbidity and mortality. I have publications in this topic (Orvosi Hetilap - Hungarin medical journal, Zeitschrift für Gastroenterologie - German medical journal), and have presented my results on several hungarian congresses.

In february of 2006. I aquired my specialist degree in general surgery with excellent qualification.

In march of 2009. I aquired my specialist degree in thoracic surgery with excellent qualification.

In january 2010 I started specialization programme on clinical oncology.
